Last weeks class talk about mosquitos lead me to have an epiphany. I was wondering why I was being bitten so frequently in my back yard. I was seriously like a honeywell for the pests. I literally could not go outside without getting my blood sucked. After learning that the females only bite whenever they were ready to lay eggs, I figured I would investigate to see if they were breeding somewhere. Sure enough, there was an infestation in a covered wheelbarrow that had a small amount of water in it. I probably never would have thought to look had it not been for that class. I also began to spread the word that baby cuteness is an evolutionary trait. It's one of those things that seems so obvious but is something that I never had considered. I thought that babies just had to catch up to their huge head size for whatever baby reason. That goes along the same lines as the aesthetic of a flower. Nothing in nature is ever what it seems. The perfect logistic curve of the yeast cell is also neat. I suppose it's not difficult to keep at a constant when all you do is lump around and cause bread to rise though.
